Yoga with Melanie

Meet Melanie.

A full-time yoga teacher and lifelong student of Ashtanga. Originally from Chicago, she moved to the Miami area in 2026 to deepen her practice under her teachers, Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann.

Her journey

A doorway to healing.

“Yoga is far more than movement, a return to the body, a softening of the mind, and a doorway to healing.”

A mother of two, Melanie found the practice when her boys were young and life was turbulent. Yoga became the vital tool that helped her navigate and heal from trauma she had long suppressed, a healing anchored by her sobriety, held with integrity since 2017.

Every experience, joyful or hard, she has come to meet not as good or bad but as a lesson, an invitation to slow down, feel, and grow.

Lineage & training

Rooted in a sacred lineage.

With 15 years of daily practice and a decade of building a yoga community in Chicago, Melanie is working through the Third Series of Ashtanga, with over 400 hours of training and continuing education.

Philosophy

We can't control what life brings, but we can choose how we respond. Yoga is the anchor.

Yoga is for every-body. Whether you are new to the path or a seasoned practitioner, Melanie is ready to meet you exactly where you are.

Beyond the mat

An immersive practice.

Melanie teaches Yin and Ashtanga, pranayama and meditation, and offers one-on-one wellness elevation and soundscape events, blending traditional technique with an intuitive feel for the body–mind connection. Many describe it as an immersive experience rather than a class: a way to access their own wisdom, on the mat and beyond.

Off the mat, you'll find her with her loved ones and two dogs, in the warmth of the sun, surrounded by nature.
